Description: Fairy Penguin's also known as Little Penguin's are only found in southern Australia and New Zealand. Fairy penguins are the smallest penguin in the world, standing at only 33 cm (13 in) tall and weighing only one kilogram (2.2 lbs).
A little known fact about the little Fairy Penguin is that they do not mate for life - research has actually shown that the annual divorce rate for little penguins is between 18 and 50%! These seabirds might be little in stature but they sure make up for it in attitude!
